Mt Cook Lookout & Mountain Viewpoint
A short drive down the road from the holiday park is a very nice Mountain Viewpoint.

We find the views we’re surrounded by are never boring and it’s always good to be informed of exactly what you are seeing.
Standing above the Fox Glacier Village are the huge and commanding Southern Alps, the longest and most impressive mountain range in New Zealand.Early Moari named this landscape Aotearoa – The Land of the long white cloud after the formations the cloud take on pressing against the hills. You can see this effect here and if you are lucky you’ll see Aoraki – Cloud Piercer punching his mountainous head through the clouds. Aoraki was named Mt Cook by Europeans and from this lovely little viewpoint just down the road from our holiday park you can see it all!
